Rest days in Lyon

This morning we start our cycling trip from Lyon and have really enjoyed our time in this city whilst we recovered from our sleepless travel to France. We have spent the last few days walking around the area between the Saonne and Rhone rivers and up to the Basilica, plus visiting the Musée des Beaux Arts. We have also been sampling the local cuisine, including pig's cheeks. The city is very cycling friendly, with lots of bike lanes and wide pedestrian malls where cycling is allowed. It has a similar feeling to Bordeaux and I would be quite happy to live here for a while.

Today we are setting off north along the Rhone and then east to Pérouges and will spend some time in the Parc de la Tête d'Or on our way.
